Adrenal glands release hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. These stress hormones affect the adrenal glands tremendously.
Cortisol and adrenaline help the body to fight off stress, reduce inflammation, reduce body fat, regulate blood sugars, potassium, and sodium levels. These stress hormones even fight off the aging process.
The body loves cortisol levels to be balanced. Not too low and not to high. A balanced cortisol is essential for our bodies to function and maintain proper health.
