Challenging Your Immunity

As we continue to change during this uncertain time, keep focus on your health  Keep challenging your immunity with simple nutrition tips that you can do at home.  Strengthening your immune system will help you fight off viruses, colds and chronic disease.  Pick a challenge and try to do it every day for one week.  Try not to focus on the scale because the scale is not an indicator of the strength of your immune system.  Your energy is.  Focus on your increase energy throughout the week which will let you know your immune is becoming healthier.

Pick 1,2, or 3 challenges to try this week

  • Nutrition- Aim for 5 fruits and vegetables a day.  Add color to your plate with all the colors of the rainbow.  Both fruits and vegetables are loaded with vitamins and minerals to boost up your health. 1/2 cup of fruit or 1 cup of green leafy vegetables is one servings.  Aim for 5 servings a day! Start off small and think big!
  • Exercise- Do 20 minutes of cardio everyday.  Cardio can be walking, running, elliptical, biking, chasing after kids, and of course heavy house cleaning.
  • Meditation-Try this freebie meditation with Jay Shetty everyday at 11:30am.
